The Yoga Vasistha Ramayan is also a very famous book in Sanskrit literature. Although its title contains the word Ramayana, it is not Ramayan in the conventional sense like the Epic Ramayan.
In fact, it is Vedanta philosophy or the spiritual discipline in the light of Vedanta. Yogi Vasistha is the Guru and Prince Rama is his intelligent disciple. In the court yard of King Dasaratha, Yogi Vasistha lectured eighteen days on prince Rama so that he could attain the complete state of Realization. During these days, he enquired him about his practice. On the last day Rama attained the final Realization.
We have published the entire book in two volumes comprising more than two thousand pages in large format under the title “The Ultimate Book – Yoga Vasistha”.
The present edition is an abridged version with selected verses and cheaper edition made available.
